The Optimist Cruise-In and Car Show is returning to downtown Warsaw for its seventh year.
All the funds raised from the event will help support over 100 youth activities in the community, including Little League, Community Soccer, Baker Youth Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy, Joe’s Kids, Tippecanoe Valley High School Leadership Program, Art in the Park, Grace College “Hoops for Hope,” Warsaw Education Foundation and others.
The registration for cars, trucks, and motorcycles is from noon to 3 p.m.
At 3 p.m., the Lakes Area Community Band Concert will perform on the courthouse lawn.
The awards ceremony is at 4:30 p.m. with over 50 trophies and plaques to be presented. Following the ceremony, an escorted cruise will occur to Winona Lake and back.
Food vendors and restaurants downtown will be available. Anyone needing information or if interested in setting up items to sell should contact Alan Lucht at 574-269-1984.
For the event, the following roads will be closed May 15 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Center Street from Indiana to Lake and Buffalo Street from Market to Fort Wayne.
