The parents of a 22-month-old Gary boy found dead from internal injuries have been charged in the child's killing. 37 year-old Bernard Dillon and 26 year-old Selena Strong each face murder, neglect of a dependent and battery charges. Police arrested the couple after finding Brandon Dillon's body on an air mattress in the apartment with obvious signs of abuse and a head wound. According to court documents, the couple told officers they struck the toddler “because of his failure to successfully potty train.” They remain held without bail.
