Governor Mike Pence has signed an executive order to shorten the ISTEP test. Calling it unacceptable, Pence is stopping the expanded test before it gets started.
He signed the order Monday, it shortens the length of the test and calls for the test to be reviewed by a national assessment expert. This Fall, education officials said the 2015 test would add a few items. But, when it was unveiled it nearly doubled to more than 11 hours.
