Warsaw Community High School Winter Percussion Ensemble advanced to State Finals for the 20th consecutive year. WCHS placed sixth in the Scholastic Concert Open Class at the Indiana Percussion Association Semi-State competition held at Decatur Central High School, Indianapolis, Saturday. Warsaw earned a score of 84.4, its highest of the season so far. The ensemble finished only 0.6 of a point behind fifth place and 1.1 points from fourth. WCHS will perform its 2016 program “Passion, Grace and Fire” at the IPA State Finals April 2. State Finals will be at the Hulman Center on the Indiana State University campus, Terre Haute. The ensemble is under the direction of WCHS Band Director Mickey Ratliff.
