Work on phase two of the Market Street project will begin the first week of September.
This initial work will involve putting up construction signs, taking down trees that will be removed as part of the project, and repairing or replacing some storm pipe along the back side of the roadway.
The roadway will not be torn out this year, but there may be some temporary lane restrictions and closures, at times.
The remainder of the work on phase two is expected to begin again in Spring of 2019 and be completed in October of 2019.
A public meeting will be held on Monday, September 10, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, for residents and business owners to meet with City and project officials to learn more about the project plans and timeline, as well as to ask questions.
