An angry ex-boyfriend has been arrested for reportedly strangling his then-girlfriend in May.
Brant K. Campbell, 21, of 303 S. Maple St., Pierceton, was arrested Tuesday afternoon for strangulation, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery.
Warsaw Police Department responded to the incident at 10:24 p.m. on May 13, according to a probable cause affidavit from Kosciusko County officials. The victim was living with and dating Campbell at the time.
The victim told police that she and Campbell were arguing in their apartment on Kuder Lane, Warsaw, when Campbell grabbed her by the neck. He allegedly held her with both hands and applied pressure until she could no longer breathe. He also forcibly grabbed the victim by the arms.
The victim’s employer provided police with a written statement that the victim gave her the same account of events and that she witnessed red marks on both sides of the victim’s neck and on both upper arms.
Campbell is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail with a $6,000 bond.
