A Pierceton woman was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital Saturday after a two-vehicle collision near Milford. The accident occurred Saturday afternoon at the intersection of CRs West 900N and North 425W, Milford. Theldon R. Burt, 79, Pierceton, was traveling westbound on CR 900N, and Edward E. Stutzman, 54, Milford, was traveling northbound when the collision occurred. It could not be avoided, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. accident report. Burt’s passenger, June E. Burt, 77, Pierceton, needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel. She was transported to Lutheran Hospital by Multi-Township EMS with complaints on her right side. As of today, she remains in the hospital in fair condition.
Both vehicles were towed by Newcomers Towing, Nappanee, and damage was estimated at between $50,000 to $100,000.
