EDITOR’S NOTE: This story was updated to reflect the change in age for those now eligible to receive the vaccine in Indiana after state officials made the announcement Monday morning.
Another local organization will be assisting in administering the COVID vaccine starting on Tuesday.
Officials with the Pill Box Pharmacy said they will be giving the vaccine following a request from the Indiana State Department of Health. The state will be sending a weekly allotment to the Pill Box containing the Moderna vaccine. Those vaccines will start at 9 AM on Tuesday to those who have scheduled an appointment online or through the state’s 2-1-1 hotline.
The vaccines are still for those ages 65 and older, and you must schedule beforehand for the vaccine as it is not open for walk-ins.
