One man was injured last night after leading police on a chase from Starke to Marshall County. According to WNDU, it happened around 7:15 when police tried to pull over the driver for a traffic stop, but the driver reportedly tried to run over a Starke County Officer. Police then fired shots at the suspect, but did not hit him, and the chase began. The chase continued as the driver crashed into a cornfield near 7th and Union Street and a foot pursuit started. The Starke County Officer Pursued the suspect on foot and used a taser to subdue the suspect. The suspect reportedly suffered from road rash and was taken from the scene by ambulance. No officers were injured in the pursuit.
