Police Release Deceased Pierceton Suspect’s Name Involved In Morning Pursuit

KCSD Press Release – The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased individual from this morning’s pursuit and shooting incident in the Town of Pierceton.

Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson stated that Dalen Anthony Ousley, 29, Fort Wayne, was pronounced dead at the scene from what initially appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  A scheduled autopsy will be performed later today at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for the formal cause of death.

Pierceton Town Marshal Tim Sammons stated that currently there are no formal charges being filed against the first suspect, Sterling Rae Templeton, who was taken into custody at the initial stage of the incident.  K.C.S.D. detectives & Pierceton officers have interviewed Templeton and information related to the ongoing investigation will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor as is normal protocol in shooting incidents.
