Politico says South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg may be gearing up for a presidential run in 2020.
The publication, which has profiled the mayor before during his run for Chairman of the DNC, says Buttigieg has PAC spending money in Iowa.
The piece, which includes a podcast, also mentions a staff of presidential campaign vets and the building of key relationships that would suggest a run for the Oval Office. Politico says the PAC is investing in six states and says Mayor Buttigieg will campaign in Ohio next month.
Several serious party officials are supposedly courting the South Bend Mayor, who would be the first openly gay candidate, the first millennial candidate, and the first Afghanistan veteran.
