Times Union – Pictured are community members who gathered Thursday afternoon at the southwest corner of the Kosciusko County Courthouse lawn to pray for local law enforcement. The event was organized by Stan Hepler. “My desire is to see our community come together and support our local law enforcement,” Hepler said. “The headlines in the news have been devastating so we are going to seek a higher power to bring back unity to our community and to our law enforcement departments.” Attendees sang and prayed for the healing of any conflicts that exist between city and county representatives, employees and departments; renewal of unity of purpose, wisdom, compassion and honor and respect between Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department; prayers for Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, city council, support staff and city employees and their families; WPD Chief Scott Whitaker and his department and their families; Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine and his department and their families; the judicial system; Dr. Mark Soto and his family; and Kevin Bronson and his family.
