Rallies to show support for and concern about the Religious Freedom Restoration Act took place Tuesday night at the Kosciusko County Courthouse in Warsaw. Hundreds of people gathered to stand up for their beliefs. Members of the Indiana Pastor's Alliance explained that the Stand For Religious Freedom rally was not about hate, but about love. They explained that religious freedom is part of the constitution and that right shouldn't be taken away from anyone.
Just across the street was the “Pro Equality Hoosier Rally where those in favor of gay marriage gathered. They spoke about love and acceptance of one another and how this community needs to change their thoughts on gay marriage. One person explained the personal struggle he's been through and the loss of family he's experienced because he is gay. Several law enforcement officers surveyed the area while the rallies took place. No violence from either party occurred.
