WARSAW — The first phase of a project on Park Avenue, just north of Center Street in Warsaw, is set to begin Thursday.

The work is expected to continue for a few weeks and involves improvements to a stormwater sewer line as well as some utility work.

NIPSCO will perform work Thursday that will continue through July 11.

After that, a contractor, for the city of Warsaw, G&G Hauling and Excavating, will begin work on the storm sewer project.

The entire project is expected to be finished by the end of July, but that is dependent on weather.

The work includes removing several old structures, reducing the number from eight to two. The project also includes placing a structural liner through the primary storm pipe along Park Avenue from Main Street to Center Street.

During NIPSCO’s work, Park Avenue, between Main Street and Center Street, will be closed. Alley approaches will also be closed.
All residents will have access to driveways and parking throughout the project. Motorists should use alternate routes.
