The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo says they’ll be renovating again.
The zoo announced in a letter to donors this week that they’ll be completely remaking the Monkey Island area, as well as tripling the size of the otter exhibit.
The News-Sentinel reports those projects will be part of the new Heart of the Zoo fundraising campaign, which is also planned to help pay for improvements made over the winter. The zoo’s already halfway to its $6.4-million goal for the campaign.
These latest renovations will start in November and finish up in 2019. The zoo completed a renovation to its “Australian Adventure” area recently.
