A new report shows that more Hoosiers are in the workforce than ever before. From May to June, Indiana’s unemployment rate dropped point-2 percent, bringing the state’s current unemployment rate to 4.8 percent. The new numbers from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics says over 8,500 Hoosiers started new jobs. The current number of Indiana residents employed, along with those in the labor force are both at all-time highs. The worst unemployment rate in the region belongs to Illinois, which sits at 6.2 percent.
