CLEVELAND (AP) — Two major mistakes by quarterback Philip Rivers cost the Indianapolis Colts in their 32-23 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Rivers had an interception returned for a touchdown and he was called for intentional grounding on a throw from the end zone for a safety in the fourth quarter. The Colts had their three-game winning streak stopped.
The 38-year-old Rivers acknowledged his mistakes and felt bad in costing his team nine points. Indy coach Frank Reich said there was plenty of blame to go around and didn’t pin the loss on Rivers.
