An RV Technical Institute is coming to Elkhart.
It’s part of an initiative being funded by RV trade associations with the goal of bringing more trained technicians into the industry.
An initial $10 million has been set aside to start the headquarters and training facility in the RV capital of the world, according to RV Business.
A recruitment campaign will also begin in hopes of attracting new technicians so that local businesses can shorten RV repair times for customers.
With the industry now selling more than a half million RVs a year, officials say increasing service efficiency is of the utmost importance.
