The search for the woman police say went into the St. Joseph River near downtown South Bend is expected to resume on today. Crews searched by boats, using sonar, Tuesday, looking for 25 year-old Yolanda Anderson, who was with family and friends when she ended up in the river early Tuesday morning. It happened near the Colfax Street Bridge near the dam. ABC 57 News reports conservation officers decided not to use divers due to the swift river current. They did discover what they called 2 objects of interest in the water, but as of right now, no body has been found. There is no word, yet, on exactly how she ended up in the river. Investigators have been calling the incident, an accident.
