Dates for the second annual Farm Day Camp in Leesburg and Warsaw have been announced.
The Kosciusko County Purdue Extension Office says the experience will allow local youth to learn about agriculture and farming.
Campers in grades 3-5 can take part in the “year of poultry” by spending a day at Maple Leaf Farms duck operation in Leesburg on June 7 or Creighton Brother chicken operation in Warsaw on June 8.
Attendees on either day will do activities that will teach them how to know if animals are healthy, what the animals are fed, and the uses of soybeans and other crops. Campers will also participate in video tours and compete in the Farm Olympics.
A $10 registration fee will include snacks, lunch, activity supplies, and a T-shirt.
Registration and payment are due May 14.
