A Michigan trucker has been injured attempting to avoid hitting several deer in the roadway. Steuben County Sheriff's deputies say 47-year old Billy Jeffries of Coldwater, Michigan suffered head injuries when his semi rolled as he swerved away from a group of deer on Fremont Road, just north of Fremont. It happened just before 10:30 Tuesday morning. Jefferies told police that he saw the deer run across the road and he tried to miss them, but instead he swerved his truck too far, causing it to overturn. Police don't believe alcohol was a factor.
