September’s First Friday theme is “Once Upon A Time.” The event is from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 5 in downtown Warsaw. September is National Literacy Month, and literary arts will be the featured art form during the final month of “Summer Of The Arts.” The main center stage act, presented by the OrthoWorx Diversity Committee in partnership with Warsaw Community Development Corp., will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Michael Jacobs, a Cherokee musician, will perform a mixture of Native American, roots rock, pop and folk music. Other literary-themed family-friendly entertainment can be found all over downtown Warsaw. This month’s attractions include a book signing featuring local authors, story time for kids, live fairy tale characters, kiddie crafts, face painting, local dance troupe performances, bounce house, a magician at Indiana Antiques, the new Warsaw Inquiry Learning Laboratory from Warsaw Community Schools, the high school foreign language department and more.
