Several people are recovering after an accident involving a car, van, and buggy near Nappanee.
A van was passing a buggy on County Road 15 just after 12 p.m. Sunday when it crashed into an oncoming car.
Police say the car went off the road and flipped over. The buggy also flipped over because of the crash.
The van driver and two passengers, including a 13-year-old, were hurt and taken to a hospital. The 16-year-old driver of the car was unconscious and flown to Memorial Hospital.
The buggy driver was hurt, as were a 3-year-old and 5-year-old who were among six passengers in the buggy.
The driver of the van, Samantha Winslow, was cited by police for unsafe passing and child restraint violations.
The driver of the car was cited for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
