Shirley Ann Priser, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 8th 2023 at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was under the care of Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice.
Shirley was born September 25, 1937 in Columbia City to Maxine Bradbury Grimm and N. Ward Harmon. Ward passed away when Shirley was an infant and was adopted by Volentine “Tiny” Grimm. Shirley attended Atwood schools. She married James Michael Priser on July 30, 1954 in Warsaw, Indiana.
Shirley sold Avon for several years. She achieved many awards for being a top sales representative. She also worked in retail sales. She enjoyed the challenge of the work in addition to connecting with other people. Shirley kept busy with many hobbies. She enjoyed reading and would read several books a week. She was a very active member in a homemaker club. She loved to research and try new recipes.
She was member of the Red Hat Society. She loved traveling with friends and family.
Shirley always had a smile on her face that could light up the world. She was very kind and always the first to help anyone in need. She loved her family dearly and treasured every moment she spent with them. She had a wicked sense of humor.
Preceded in death by her parents, Maxine Grimm, Volentine Grimm, and N. Ward Harmon. Husband James M. Priser. Son James A. Priser. Granddaughter Stacy L. Priser.
Survivors include son Jack (Joyce) Priser, daughter in law, Sally Priser. Sister Cindy Shelton.
Grandchildren Sara(Richard) Larocque, Jennifer Priser, Matthew Priser, Keith (Heather) Priser, Ian Priser, Kari Priser, Michelle (Torren) Lewis. She has several great grandchildren who she treasured dearly.
Titus Funeral Home is entrusted with Shirley’s care. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Sunday, February 12, 2023 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. The funeral service for Shirley will take place on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00am with the door opening to the public an hour prior. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
