An investigation is underway to investigate whether Republican Senate candidate Mike Braun’s campaign submitted phony signatures to get on the St. Joseph County ballot.
The investigation was requested by both the St. Joseph County Board of Voter Registration and the St. Joseph County Democratic Party. The South Bend Tribune reports the county board claims that signers were either not registered, registered at different addresses, did not match their signature to what’s on file with the state, or that the same person wrote multiple signatures.
A Seattle-based company submitted the signatures, and the county democratic party wants to see if they violated the law.
