Graduation rates for the 2014-15 school year for Indiana high schools were released this week by the Indiana Department of Education.
The state saw public school rates averaging 88.7 percent, down slightly from the previous year, and non-public schools 91.6 percent.
The public school leading the area was Manchester High school with a graduation rate of 96.9 percent. Whitko High School saw rates improve from 91.2 percent the previous year to 92.4 percent last year. Tippecanoe Valley High School graduated 92.3 percent of its seniors, which is significantly higher than the previous year’s 79.7 percent. Warsaw Community High School had 91.4 percent graduate; in 2014, WCHS had a rate of 93.8 percent.
Triton High School saw a small decline with a rate of 90.1 percent, down from 91 percent. Wawasee High School saw a rate of 89.6 percent, up from 88.6 percent.
Lakeland Christian Academy graduated 100 percent of its seniors, with the previous year seeing 86.7 percent.
