Yesterday’s nearly five hour closure of State Road 14 was caused by as semi-trailer that overturned.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department says it happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. when the driver was trying to light up a cigarette.
The garbage-hauling truck left the roadway and went into a ditch.
The crash happened around 5 miles east of Silver Lake between 100 and Packerton Road.
Trash cleanup took hours, but no injuries were reported.
