One man is recovering after crashing his SUV into an apartment building in Elkhart. It happened in the 100 block of S. Michigan Street early this morning. Police say there were people inside the home at the time but fortunately were NOT injured. Everyone inside was upstairs sleeping at the time. Its believed the driver suffered some sort of medical issue when he went through a stop sign and hit the building. The driver was found outside of the car and unresponsive when crews arrive. His injuries are described as non-life threatening. They don’t believe drugs or alcohol was a factor.
