With the Elkhart County Fair in full force, The Elkhart County Prosecutor is issuing another warning against the use of synthetic drugs. He says several cases are pending against people who have used synthetic drugs, and then committed violent crimes while under the influence. In a statement released late last week, Curtis Hill quoted a national survey that states over 90 percent of addictions start during the teenage years. The Elkhart County Prosecutors Office has a booth in Commercial Building E, booths 6 and 7 at the fair, where they have a number of resources available which can be used by teens, parents and educators to spark discussions about drugs and drug use.
