Chamber Executive Director Renea Salyer encourages anyone wishing to be a part of the event to decorate their doors and/or windows with wreaths from Dec. 3-31, according to a news release.
Those choosing to participate in the event should either collect supplies to create a customized wreath or purchase a wreath already prepared. Wreaths may reflect any theme the creator selects. Creativity is key and will add to the seasonal feel of the Festival of Wreaths. Any resident or business wishing to be a part of this festive event should contact the Chamber to enter.
The Chamber will create a walking map with all locations outlined so those who wish to enjoy the Festival of Wreaths can participate in a wreath walk Dec. 17-19. All entries will be featured online and judged via social media platform “likes.” The winners of both the residential and business categories will be announced Dec. 20. Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place winners in both categories.
