A 19-year-old Cromwell man reportedly attempting to shoplift a $19.88 cell phone case at Walmart got hit with several drug charges Friday afternoon.
Javier Sanchez of 12034 N. CR 1000E, Cromwell, was arrested for allegedly shoplifting, possession of marijuana with intent to deal, dealing cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of cocaine and possession of hashish oil.
According to the incident report by the Warsaw Police Department, Sanchez was in the Walmart store, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw, when an employee witnessed him attempting to steal a cell phone case. During the investigation, officers found Sanchez was in position of narcotics and a handgun.
Sanchez is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 bond.
