More cases of the chikungunya virus have been confirmed here in Indiana. Six more Hoosiers have tested positive for the virus, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. Chikungunya has been found in multiple Caribbean countries sine 2013 and according to State Health Department officials, the majority of the individuals who tested positive for the virus have confirmed travel to the Caribbean, including four teens who were recently on mission trips to the area. Officials are still investigating for any more cases in Indiana.
