Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call this morning at approximately 2:21 a.m. regarding a possible burglary in progress in the 7000 block of West Northcrest Lane, Claypool. Officers were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle, which was subsequently located stopped at the intersection of Hohman Lane and County Road 900 South. Deputies approached the vehicle and immediately noted the strong odor associated with the production of methamphetamine. Inside the vehicle, officers located two one-pot method methamphetamine labs.
K.C.S.D. deputies immediately called for the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and took into custody the following individuals:
Shane Wesley Hallstrom, 21, Akron, Indiana
Ashton Phillips Krider, 20, Silver Lake, Indiana
Caitlin Olivia Heisler, 20, Claypool, Indiana
All three individuals were preliminarily arrested and charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the original location of the potential burglary call was owned by Caitlin Heisler’s parents.
All three suspects are being held without bond on a prosecutorial hold at the current time. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Drug Task Force were also assisted by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office and the Indiana State Police.
