A gunman shot three people at a Wyoming senior living facility Wednesday before apparently turning the weapon on himself, police said.
The shooting at the Heritage Court complex in Cheyenne was reported shortly after 11 a.m. local time. Local schools were placed on lockdown as a precaution as police set up a command post and diverted traffic from the area.
Police said the suspect was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near an intersection approximately three miles from the initial shooting scene.
The conditions of the suspect and the shooting victims were not immediately disclosed.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reported that a .22-caliber revolver that may have been used in the shooting was recovered by police.
