Tippecanoe Valley High School has been named a Unified Champion School for the 2017-18 school year.
The award recognizes them for student leadership, respect for persons with intellectual disabilities, inclusion, Unified Sports participation, and fundraising to support the goals of Special Olympics.
This means the school is now considered a statewide leader in the Champions Together movement.
Champions Together is a partnership between the Indiana High School Athletic Association and Special Olympics Indiana.
Tippecanoe Valley is the first school to receive an honorary banner as part of the award this school year.
