Tippencanoe Valley School Corporation is teaming up with Special Olympics Indiana.
Students from Mentone and Akron Elementary Schools and Tippecanoe Valley Middle School will participate in an inclusive sporting event May 20.
The program is called Unified Champion Schools and promotes activities designed in respect and advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities.
More than 10,000 Indiana students have participated in the program during the 2017-2018 school year.
More than 100 Tippecanoe Valley students are expected to participate in this year’s Game Day event.
