Congratulations to the Valley Vikings on their win at last night's Big Wally Eating Contest at the Penguin Point on North Detroit Street in Warsaw! The annual event is in its 36th year. It pits local high school athletes against one another in a challenge of competitive eating. The Valley Vikings won the contest, consuming a total of 22 Big Wally Burgers, followed by Whitko with 17, Warsaw with 16 and Wawasee with 11. The winner got bragging rights, a traveling trophy and $400 dollars from Penguin Point for the school's prom fund.
