The National weather service says a central Indiana tornado packed winds estimated at 90 to 100 mph and traveled two miles in Plainfield and Indianapolis. According to the statement, the tornado rated an EF1 on the Fujita scale. It says the tornado damaged more than 200 vehicles at an auto auction site, threw a camper about 175 ft into the roof of a home, and damaged nearly two dozen homes in the Plainfield area and two homes on the Indianapolis west side. The tornado was reportedly on the ground for eight minutes.
