The National Weather Service says statewide tornado drills will be conducted in Indiana today. The tornado drills will be held at 10:15 a.m. and 7:35 p.m. The drills will start with test tornado warnings issued by Weather Service offices serving Indiana, triggering programmed electronic devices and the activation of many outdoor warning sirens. The Weather Service, several state agencies, the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the American Red Cross, and the amateur radio community will conduct a severe weather preparedness campaign all week.
