Police say a car-train collision in Walkerton has injured two people. The car was a total loss following the collision Sunday morning on State Road 104. Police say the car was behind an 18-ft box truck when 33-year-old Maurice Richmond drove around the truck and a crossing arm. Richmond was issued a summons for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He also was cited for failing to yield, operating under the influence, endangering a life, and operating without a license. Richmond was hospitalized with a broken neck. 39-year-old Heather Lentz was treated for minor injuries. The Police say the two are lucky to be alive.
