WARSAW — Kosciusko County Sheriff Jim Smith has announced the promotion of Travis Shively to the rank of Lieutenant.
Shively is a 19-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and previously served as Sergeant.
Shively will continue serving as the training coordinator and oversee the department’s
K-9 unit.
In addition to those duties, Shively will also oversee the department’s special operations groups which include the SWAT and DIVE teams.
In a news release, Smith added, “Travis has an extensive background as an
instructor for our department. He has excelled at coordinating all of our department’s training and also as a K9 handler. I’m excited to see both the SWAT and DIVE teams grow under his leadership.”
