A crash involving two trucks shut down State Road 13 near the Kosciusko/Wabash County line for a short time on Thursday.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office say shortly before 10 AM, a southbound box truck driven by Luiz Gomez struck a forklift that was on the back of semi-truck, which was parked for a delivery. Deputies say about a third of the trailer was on the roadway, while the rest was on the shoulder.
Gomez’s truck struck the trailer, causing extensive damage to the passenger side of his truck. Gomez was taken to Parkview Hospital in Warsaw for his injuries, while the driver of the semi-truck, Steven Sanders, was not injured.
