Police say it was a driver who fell asleep at the wheel who caused the pick-up vs buggy crash in Bremen that sent three people to the hospital. It happened Friday afternoon on U.S. 6 near Dogwood Road in Bremen. A 3 year-old boy and his 6 year-old brother were aboard the Amish buggy and airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital with head injuries. They remain in serious condition. The boys' father also sustained a head injury. The horse was killed as a result of the crash. Police say 44 year-old Laurie Bope, who was behind the wheel of the truck, was not injured.
