Kosciusko County officials are investigating a crash on State Road 15 at Monoquet Road near Warsaw.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded Sunday morning at 1200 A.M to a personal injury moped crash on State Road 15. The crash involved a north bound moped who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle from the rear.
The man driving the moped and the female passenger were located on the eastern edge of State Road 15 near Monoquet Road.
The vehicle believed to have collided with the moped left the scene of the crash.
The 44-year-old operator of the moped was transported to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne
for treatment of head injuries sustained in the crash.
A 42-year-old female passenger on the moped sustained non-life threatening injuries during the collision and was treated at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department would request anyone with information on who hit the moped to contact Investigators at 574-267-5667 with any information.
