Two people are in custody in connection to the Wabash County killing of 21-year-old Alexis Serrano.
Indiana State Police say 36-year-old Jose Maya-Sandoval of Fort Wayne and 33-year-old Gerardo Ruiz-Aviles of Indianapolis are each facing a murder charge.
Serrano was reported missing June 6, 2018 before his body was found in a wooded area of the Mississinewa State Forest on June 28, 2018.
An autopsy conducted on July 1, 2018 revealed that Serrano’s death was a homicide.
