UPDATE: U.S. 33 from Churubusco to Noble County is back open use caution roadway is still slick and ice covered.
WHITLEY COUNTY — A portion of U.S. 33 is closed until further notice due to Tuesday morning’s icy weather.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement the road is completely closed from Churubusco to Noble County.
Motorists are asked to find a different route. The road is a sheet of ice and drivers are unable to move.
