Egg-hunting season kicks off Saturday with several events and continues the following weekend.
Here’s a look at upcoming community events involving Easter eggs, courtesy of our reporting partners at the Times Union:
• Syracuse – The Easter egg hunt at Lakeside Park begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The event is intended for children in grades five and under. A free lunch, crafts, games and the Easter bunny will be part of the fun at the community center across the street after the hunt.
• Silver Lake – The Silver Lake Lions Club hosts its 34th annual egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Silver Lake school grounds. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each of the five age groups. Bring your own containers to collect eggs. Call 260-352-2474 with any questions.
• Atwood – At 1 p.m. Saturday, the community Easter egg hunt will be at 306 E. Main St. Crafts, games and prizes will follow. Call 574-858-2291 with questions.
• North Webster – The town’s community center will host a breakfast and egg hunt from 9 a.m to 11:30 p.m. Saturday. Three age groups. The event is organized by North Webster United Methodist Church. Coloring, games and crafts are part of the fun. The Easter bunny will be there, too.
• Warsaw – Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw will host Easter Egg Extravaganza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 31 at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St. Free bouncy house, refreshments and a photographer will be available. More than 3,000 eggs filled with toys and candy will be part of the fun. Call 574-267-3104 with questions.
• Warsaw – At noon March 31, the Kosciusko County Community Annual Easter Egg Hunt will get underway at the county fairgrounds. About 28,000 eggs will be used. Prizes will be awarded for all four age groups. Parents are advised to bring cameras and baskets.
• Winona Lake – The town will host an Easter egg hunt on March 31 beginning at 3 p.m. at Winona Lake Limitless Park. Three age groups. Prizes for each group. Bring a basket. Questions, call 574-267-2310.
• Warsaw – At 9:30 a.m. March 31, the city parks department will host a “Brushes ’N Bunnies” event at Center Lake Pavilion. Painting fee is $15 for each child. Each participant will receive a basket of goodies, and the Easter bunny will be part of the fun.
