It turns out the deadly shooting of Elkhart teen DreTerrious Rodgers resulted from a drug robbery. The 18-year-old who was killed last week, was taking part in a drug robbery with several accomplices, according to court documents. Rodgers, along with 18-year-old Freddie D. Rhodes and 16-year-old Deante Dalton went to an Elkhart home with the intention of robbing 27-year-old Norman Gary. Rhodes and Dalton are being charged with felony murder in connection to Rodgers’ death.
