Police are still looking for a suspect who robbed North Webster’s Key Bank Friday, entering the bank and demanding cash. The suspect is described as male, Caucasian, approximately 6 feet tall and having a thin build. He also was described as wearing tan, full-length cover-alls, along with a dark colored sweatshirt underneath with the hood pulled over his head. Officers also stated the suspect had on a dark-colored baseball cap, dark-colored sunglasses and was wearing a handkerchief covering his lower face. He may have also been wearing a mask of some type over his face. The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and no bank employees were injured during the robbery. Police say the suspect did not brandish a weapon during the robbery. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Chad Hill said police have received various tips, but the investigation is still ongoing. While investigators were initially searching for a gold Pontiac Aztec seen near the scene of the incident Friday, Hill said the vehicle in question was located over the weekend and it is no longer of interest. Police are asking anyone who might have potential information regarding the robbery or suspect to call the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center at 574-267-5667 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-342-STOP (South Bend office).
