A Nappanee man was arrested following a crash Sunday that left Warsaw man seriously injured.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened just after 7 PM on Sunday on Pierceton Road near County Road 600 E. The press release states a preliminary cause indicates that 20-year old Glen Chupp was driving his 1997 Pontiac Firebird eastbound on Pierceton Road when he went to pass another eastbound vehicle.
Police say while Chupp was passing, he struck a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by 51-year old Edward Frost. Frost was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne with serious injuries.
Sergeant Chris Francis says Chupp was taken into custody late Sunday night, facing a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness as a result of the crash.
Francis says the crash remains under further investigation. We will have more updates as they are provided.
